About the D4_4_ssl_security_2 Patch

This patch addresses the following issue:

NOTE:
  1. Installing/unistalling the patch can briefly prevent users from using secure access to the services
  2. This patch should be installed in addition to any previous 'ssl_security' patch.

Installing the Patch

To install this patch:
  1. Use a telnet client to connect to the administration command-line interface on port 23 on your Mirapoint appliance.

  2. Log in as an administrator.

  3. Issue the following command: 
            Version
    If the result returned is 4.3.x, 4.4.x, you can install this patch.

  4. Install the D4_4_ssl_security_2 patch using the following CLI command:

    5. Update Install ftp://ftp.mirapoint.com/pub/updates/D4_4_ssl_security_2

Always check the system log after installing a patch regardless of whether installation succeeds or fails.
