About the D4_3_7_DB_SP_5 Patch
This patch addresses the following issues:
- Some errors caused the Mailbox cleaner to fail to automatically restart (MIRA-53258).
- Webmail Crashes in some cases (MIRA-53096, MIRA-53190, MIRA-54995, MIRA-54980, MIRA-55201, MIRA-55204).
- Proxy crashes in some cases (MIRA-53253).
- POP login failure issue (MIRA-55007).
- Users database entries have inconsistency with the actual mailbox file-system message contents (MIRA-55116).
- MAILBOX RENAME failed with "System I/O error" (MIRA-55117).
- Message data recorded in database sub-system didn't match the message files stored on file system (MIRA-55142, MIRA-55192).
- A number of database deadlock problems (MIRA-53254, MIRA-53101, MIRA-52291, MIRA-52996, MIRA-53142, MIRA-53069, MIRA-55172).
- Other crashes in case of some DB errors (MIRA-53210, MIRA-53130, MIRA-54988, MIRA-55052, MIRA-55108).
- IMAP_NO_MSGGONE error sometimes happened in multiple sessions scenario (MIRA-55278).
- The ouput of "stat get system.totalinboxes" is inaccurate (MIRA-53182).
- Rebuildmbx fails on large mailbox (MIRA-55115).
NOTE:
- This patch reboots the appliance.
- The patch can be removed (uninstalled).
- Patch removal also reboots the appliance.
- Any previous versions of the patch should be removed if they exist on the system.
- Any versions of patch 'D4_3_7_webmail_sort' and 'D4_3_7_webmail_core' should be removed if they exist on the system.
Installing the Patch
To install this patch:
- Use a telnet client to connect to the administration command-line
interface on port 23 on your Mirapoint appliance.
- Log in as an administrator.
- Issue the following command:
Version
If the result returned is 4.3.7, you can install this patch.
- Install the D4_3_7_DB_SP_5 patch using the following CLI command:
Update Install ftp://ftp.mirapoint.com/pub/updates/D4_3_7_DB_SP_5
Always check the system log after installing a patch regardless of whether
installation succeeds or fails.
